Oneida Nation opens new store

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Oneida Indian Nation is now officially doing business in Onondaga County.

The Oneidas opened their first store off of nation land Monday as a grand opening was held for a new Name Brand Deals store in Solvay. The store will sell everything from toys to tools, clothing and electronics at discounted prices. It will also pay all applicable taxes.

"The Oneida Nation is always looking for good opportunities to grow and help with the economic expansion of the upstate New York area. Remember we're all members of the upstate area and we all want to see the upstate area grow," said Kevin Connelly, Oneida Nation Operations Manager.

The Oneida Nation's first Name Brand Deals store opened in Chittenango in 2006. They say more store are possible.
