Oneidas, Guests Celebrate 15 Years

So much has changed since Turning Stone Resort and Casino opened 15 years ago. Back in 1993, the Oneidas employed 200 people. Today the Oneidas employ nearly 5,000 people.

First Allies Honored by White House

On July 8 Fort Stanwix National Monument Superintendent Debbie Conway presented the Oneida Indian Nation's First Allies Living History Group with a President's Volunteer Service Award for the group's work at the fort and other National Park Service and historic sites over the past five years.

Sports Pavilion at Turning Stone Opens Soon

Construction on one of Turning Stone Resort and Casino’s newest facilities – the Sports Pavilion – is close to completion. The pavilion, which is the designated starting point of the fitness trail, allows the resort to cater to guests’ athletic needs.

Oneida Nation Honors Veterans

More than 300 veterans and guests attended the Oneida Nation's seventh annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony Nov. 3. The keynote was Col. Clark F. Speicher, U.S. Air Force, and commander of the Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) in Rome, N.Y. NEADS is responsible for air defense in the northeastern U.S. and acts as support for additional homeland defense missions.

Steve Flesch won the inaugural Turning Stone Resort Championship with a two stroke finish over Michael Allen. Flesch earned a $1.08 million payday with his second PGA TOUR victory of the year.
